Unleashing the Power of Ho’oponopono: Reviving Maui’s Spirit After Fire

The Power of Ho’oponopono

In “Unleashing the Power of Ho’oponopono: Reviving Maui’s Spirit After Fire,” Pastor Vicky guides listeners through a meditation focused on bringing healing and unity to the Hawaiian people and the land. With eyes closed, listeners are encouraged to imagine healing angels surrounding them and to call upon the Holy Spirit, Mother Mary, Jesus, God, and their ancestors. In their mind’s eye, they see a Sacred Circle with two groups of people, the local Hawaiian people and the authorities, facing each other. Each group is then prompted to speak words of forgiveness, love, gratitude, and apology to the other. The reactions of the authorities are left open-ended.

The Spirit of Hawaii

Next, group members share their visualizations. One member discusses a meditation session where two groups, the developers and government officials, were separated by a divide symbolizing their differences. The developers had police protection and felt scared, while the native people were skeptical of their apologies due to their actions not aligning with their words. However, after the prayer, there was a slight change as blades of grass began to emerge, symbolizing the possibility of reconciliation.

Another meditator expresses a positive view of people coming together and working towards healing and restoration, acknowledging the hurt and pain of the natives while envisioning both groups moving closer towards understanding and unity.

Another group member describes a scene where there is a division between the natives and politicians. Initially, there is skepticism and a lack of trust, but eventually, they want to work together. After the prayer, the gap between them closes up, symbolizing unity. The natives are depicted in colorful garb, while the politicians are dressed in plain colors. They stand on opposite sides of a rocky road, but when the politicians apologize, the natives bow their heads, and when the natives apologize, the politicians remove their hats and put their hand on their chest. As they do this, the ground begins to change, turning into iron-rich soil with grass growing in between them.
